Wiley-IEEE Press combines IEEE’s prestige with Wiley’s book publishing prowess to publish high quality books. It serves the global engineering and computer science community. Call for nomination open for Wiley-IEEE Press Awards 2021.
Wiley-IEEE Press invites nominations for two book awards. The awards will recognize the authors of an outstanding textbook and an outstanding professional book published by Wiley-IEEE Press.
Wiley-IEEE Press Awards 2021
Categories of the award
There are basically two categories of the award
- Wiley-IEEE Press Textbook Award: The Wiley-IEEE Press Textbook Award will annually recognize the authors of an outstanding textbook published by Wiley-IEEE Press during a five-year window prior to the year of the award, in a field relevant to the IEEE.
- Wiley-IEEE Press Professional Book Award: The Wiley-IEEE Press Professional Book Award will annually recognize the authors of an outstanding monograph or professional book published by Wiley-IEEE Press during a three-year window prior to the year of the nomination, in a field relevant to the IEEE.

Winners of 2020 Wiley-IEEE Press Professional Book Award
Shanthi Pavan, Richard Schreier, and Gabor Temes, were the recipients of the2020 Wiley-IEEE Press Professional Book Award for their book, Understanding Delta-Sigma Data Converters, 2nd edition.
This book explains the principles and operation of delta-sigma analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) in physical and conceptual terms in accordance with the most recent developments in the field. The interest of ΔΣ converter designers has shifted significantly over the past decade, due to many new applications for data converters at the far ends of the frequency spectrum. Continuous-time delta-sigma A/D converters with GHz clocks, of both lowpass and bandpass types, are required for wireless applications. At the other extreme, multiplexed ADCs with very narrow (sometimes 10 Hz wide) signal bandwidths, but very high accuracy is needed in the interfaces of biomedical and environmental sensors. To reflect the changing needs of designers, the second edition includes significant new material on both theory and design techniques. New text has been added, that:
